When the car is working it is a dream to drive! But with all the flaws and issues it is not worth the hassle. I wish I had read proper reviews before buying this model. All I can say is if you have a bit of extra money it is well worth going for the 320 model upwards as you will save that in the long run.
How reliable do you find the car?
I wouldn't recommend buying a 4 cylinder BMW. Simple as that! Common problems are: Wishbone bushes (About £300 parts and labour) Air Mass Sensor - (Got away with a cheap one for £50 and fitted it myself) Valvetronic Motor (£250 parts and labour) Expansion Tank (£120 parts and labour) CCV Valve (£300 parts and labour) And few other bits and bobsAbout their car
