In their own words

I think after almost 5 years and 50,000 miles, I know this car well. In general, and after owning several BMW's from both new and second hand, this is by far the best. I have had a couple of recalls on the vehicle which is not what you want from a BMW but both have been handled very well by the main dealers. For a 2l Diesel I have to say that there is not much to choose performance wise from my old 330ci. The gearbox is very good and although not double clutch, seems to be intuitive and quick to kick down. In sports mode, there is no determinable turbo lag at all. Rear leg room is acceptable for an adult although a trip to the south of France would be a stretch. Front leg room and cabin room are impressive though. Downside to the coupe is that there are only two rear seats. Great for a trip to the local pub, but not good for 2.2 children. Interior after all these miles still looks like new and is holding up well. As for driving, the M sport chassis is hard, but not unbearable. On a motorway this car will be comfortable and after many long distance trips, proves to be excellent with great seats. After a 300 mile trip, no back pain and still feel comfortable. On a Sunday afternoon blast round the local roads, this car seems to be the perfect all rounder. You can have great fun but then settle into a cruise. Only one real criticism of this car, although it sounds petty it will drive you mad, is the auto windscreen wipers. So many times the dealer has said they are working, but it will give you several options, none of which you want. A simple intermittent system that can be changed by the user would be best. The auto system seems to put the wipers on fast when no rain and then turn off in a cloud burst. Advancement this is not. Give me old fashioned controls every time. Over all, this car has impressed no end. Compared to my 330ci, the car feels light but still very well built. I would choose your dealer carefully to get best service but overall, a very capable car and has served me very well. I paid 42,500 for this car and still consider it to be great value. Comparing to modern cars, the tech inside is still right up there. Standard levels gave me professional sat nav, great stereo, and all the toys. Yes current cars have parking and many other gadgets but not needed. The car came as standard with leather interior and still this holds up very well.
