BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe (2014 - 2021) 430d M Sport (Professional Media) 5d Auto Owner Review

The 6 cylinder 3.0 diesel is a fantastic powerplant. It's exceptionally smooth, being an inherently balanced design. It can sound very slightly (but certainly not feel) rough at a cold start, but no matter the level of sophistication, it's still a diesel so it's understandable. Had a few options specified from factory, but the 430d M Sport in general is a very well appointed place to be. Massive boot for the size of the car, so much more practical than the 2dr coupe as this is a proper 5dr. It looks superb, carries its dimensions very well. My only real concern is not getting the xDrive, as I'm sure running a rear wheel drive car with nearly 600Nm to the back axle will be less than favourable when it comes to December. Ultimately it's a fabulous car. It does everything you expect it to do and the quality and finish is unparalleled. The 430d goes like a stabbed rat but encourages you to drive serenely in wonderful comfort when your hair's not on fire.
