BMW are still a status brand and wrongly you are judged by the badge by many who don't know better.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
While appreciating the car they sympathise with the service bills.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Others have caught up with the X3 so no I would not. It still rates high as a package but running costs from main dealers are considerable even with extended warranty.
What are you likely to buy next?
Nissan X Trail better spec, drives as well smaller engine with lower running costs No main dealer assuming you can meet any cost.

Best in reviews best to drive.
What was the dealer like?
Like a typical 2nd hand car salesman would probably not buy this way again.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Pretty hard to fault, does everything well can accelerate out of trouble.
What's it like to park?
Slightly wider than you might expect good reverse camera is a must & on this model.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
More than I had expected: run flat tyres wear badly other issues not covered by extended warranty - rear light 'bulb' replacement £270 washer bottle blocked - guess £270.
What's most practical about your car?
Mostly easy to live with and use Long journeys - Scotland or Cornwall no effort.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Excellent choice of music source: hard drive blue tooth plug in i-pod cd deck.
