In their own words

Bought from BMW park lane with a 6k discount due to it being an outgoing model. Professional media and auto box is a must in these vehicles, base trim provides all you need otherwise. I have a panoramic roof and electric seats as extras. Bmw manuals are among the worst in the industry, by contrast their at 8 speed auto is among the best in the business, quicker than the manual, in sport or in eco it perfectly aligns the gear selection to your driving style. Handling is near perfect, as good as any hatch. The auto box is so good, it helps beat faster cars off the line. Used for hauling family, and luggage everywhere as well as a few euro trips. The 34mpg is because of my heavy foot, but over 40 can be achieved. Perfect power/economy ratio, not as comfortable as say a Volvo, but comfortable enough and much more stable in corners. handled long road trips with ease. I managed 43k miles from new with only a set of front tyres and pads. 50/50 weight distribution keeps car poised. Idrive is perfect barring smartphone interaction. I use voice control for all sat Nav searches without error. Zero issues, BMW handled recalls perfectly, and their coffee at the service center is great. There are other cars for comfort or budget. But for all round ability, nothing else comes close.
