What does this car say about you?

Married man, approaching 50 who wants something a little special to play with.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like the way it looks, love the interior and those who have been driven inside it want one themselves.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would buy another X5 without hesitation although not a new one as there are so many well looked after second-hand models out there that paying for a new one just doesn't make sense to me.

What are you likely to buy next?

I have owned an Audi A6, BMW 5 and 7 series, Mercedes C and E Class and Volvo V70 cars, none of which can hold a candle to the X5 in terms of looks, road presence or feel good factor, so I would probably buy another X5.

    What's it like to drive?

It's like driving a 5 Series on stilts - luxurious, exceptionally quiet, power to cruise at high speed, supremely comfortable but with the added bonus of a high seating position. The X5 is a car that you just won't want to get out of - it really is that nice.

    What's it like to park?

This is a big car but not too big to park in a normal car parking space as long as you take your time. The turning circle is very small and parking aid helps those who are too short to see through the back of the window.

Have you had any problems with the car?

I have owned seven BMW 5 and 7 Series over the last 20 years, none of them have suffered major mechanical failures other than routine maintenance requirements, they are so well built that they very rarely go wrong. I am sure the X5 will be the same if looked after properly.

What's most practical about your car?

The space inside, ride height and boot area make this a very nice car to be inside. It's easily large enough to fit everything in that a family of 5 would need for a holiday and is a very relaxing place to be.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The electric comfort seats are amazing and the glass sunroof makes the interior seem very light and spacious.
