Miles per pound (mpp)

Reliable fuel consumption data for comparison purposes is not available for this model.
What is miles per pound?

Fuel economy

A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test. Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 21 - 36 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

If you’re choosing a diesel, you should achieve comfortably in excess of 30mpg in everyday driving. Petrol models require servicing every 7500 miles, which is a little too frequent for our liking. Rivals would manage a minimum of 9000 miles between services. Depreciation is steady on the diesels, steep on the petrols.

Voyager is quite a polluting model. With an average of 227 g/km CO2 across the line-up, its emissions are a little high for a people carrier. However, it’s worth noting that the line up has a high number of diesel models, bringing the average down and giving buyers more choices of low-emission versions. Diesels typically produce less CO2 than petrol engines with similar power outputs.

The range is not very frugal, averaging 31 mpg.

Owners have reported no major reliability problems and Voyager seems very durable. Our only concern is the quality of the interior – some materials feel a little cheap and some bits of trim feel flimsy for a ‘premium’ product.
