In their own words

As an A to B runabout the Ypsilon simply cannot be faulted. It costs next to nothing to insure, VED is zero and fuel economy excellent - we achieve around 50mpg in mixed driving and 55 plus on longer runs. The TwinAir turbo gives very lively performance for its size with little or no turbo lag, and has a nice thrummy sound when accelerating, yet is surprisingly quiet at cruising speeds. Handling, ride and general road behaviour are all very good, the car's compact dimensions and finger light steering in "City" mode making it very easy both to park and negotiate roundabouts. The interior is attractive and well kitted out with enough space for four adults and the boot is good for the size of the car. The centrally mounted instrument panel takes some getting used to, but the displays are all very clear and the sound system and computer are excellent. On the debit side some of the controls are a tad fiddly, rear visibilty could be better and it does not like pulling out from junctions in anything other than first gear, but all in all this is an excellent little car and has the added attraction of being slightly different.
