What does this car say about you?

Says I'm a Dad, I'm practical enough to get an MPV for the good of my family, but value style if I must have this kind of car. It also says I don't view myself as a self important tool who drive big 4x4's.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

This is definitely a car for passenger comfort. I'm not sure I would have liked a lower spec model, I think it would have been pretty 'meh' but the technology, gadgetry, visual yummyness make it stand out & attracts some very nice comments.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would. I wanted the dark red though, but the wife wanted black despite my cleaning viewpoint which has been proven to death. In black it never looks clean inside or out & drives me a bit nuts.

What are you likely to buy next?

Until someone comes up with a full size row of 3 seats, we don't have much option until our brats move out and I can get the stupidly quick mid life crisis BMW I've always wanted.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    Yes

    What price did you pay?

    £24,995

When did you buy the car?

    October 2014

Did you get a good deal and why?

I thought the dealer was very welcoming and let the car do the selling, which wasn't hard as it is a thing of beauty with so many of the important little things thought about and addressed.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Only non 7 seat people carrier with full size seats in the back. MPG claim seemed very appealing.

    What was the dealer like?

Very professional, approachable, courteous - and no I don't work for Citroen!

    What's it like to drive?

It's very easy to drive and very comfortable (had a few passengers remark this). Roll is still there but not as bad other MPV's I've driven. Power hits in really well low down so it feels sharp, but loses it higher up. It's a pleasure round town, although I would have liked it to feel heavier on the motorway as it doesn't have that big car glide and can get nudged in the wind.

    What's it like to park?

A doddle, the rear wheels are really close to the back so its like parking a van, dead easy especially with the all round radar and rear camera. You kind of need it as viewing out the back is nigh on non existent. The auto dipping mirrors when reverse parking at night are very confusing.

Have you had any problems with the car?

It's a brand new model, straight off the design floor so I was expecting the odd niggle, which it has. The accelerator pedal started to sqeak insanely and I had to drench it in WD40 to make it stop. The rear camera has moved downwards by about 10 degrees The steering wheel housing made a sqeaky grating sound in the recent cold weather but as its got warmer it seems to have stopped. The gaiter metal ring on the gear stick that your fingers pull up the stick to put it in reverse has started to rattle and vibrate. All not huge things in 5 months, but will definitely expect them to be addressed at service time.

What's most practical about your car?

It's very easy to park as the radar & camera are very informative almost to the point parking assist is pointless. Making the seats flat is very quick and easy and once you've mentally split the many steering wheel buttons into their quartets of what it controls its very easy to use. For an MPV is definitely a head turner and despite the battle to keep it clean it really looks business class in black & chrome inside and out.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Lots to mention. Cleverness self parking. Usefulness auto boot lid, keyless entry, radar guided cruise control, blind spot warning led's in the auto folding mirrors, digital radio, bluetooth handsfree, and the kids love having their own trays / lights and air vents.
