    A friend of mine called it a washing machine with wheels, although I dare say most washing machine are technologically better equipped.

    No, they are getting on in age now and have a very low resale value.

    A low litre Focus.

    Yes it was a great deal, it doesn't get much better than free.

    Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

    It was given as a gift to get me on to the road.

    What's it like to drive?

    It was fine, nothing great but not particularly bad.

    What's it like to park?

    The lack of power steering made it difficult. Pulling a wheel around on the spot is never fun, especially in tight spaces.

    Have you had any problems with the car?

    Brakes failed both front and back over the year I had it. The pads seemed to have a habit of becoming disjointed.

    What's most practical about your car?

    It was extremely basic and while that made the car plain, it was also very economical and easy to maintain.
