Fuel economy

A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test. Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 24 - 51 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

That fancy suspension needs to be serviced by a specialist and is quite expensive, as too are most of the parts. Diesel engines offer good economy and the smaller petrol units aren’t bad either but it is unlikely to be a cheap car to run.

Plenty of owners rack up very high mileages in these cars, but reliability can be very poor especially if maintenance is neglected. Suspension, engine management and general electrical glitches seem to be the biggest problem areas. Suspension needs to be renewed ever 60,000 miles.
