Daihatsu Fourtrak (1984 - 2002) 2.8 TDS Independent 3d Owner Review

Daihatsu Fourtrack

In their own words

Bought it after owning a Land Rover 88". Cannot fault it. Bought it 260 miles away so was weary about getting it home. No problems at all. Sat at 65/70 all through Wales, it was pretty comfortable too, dont know what many peoples gripes are with the comfort. Bought the TDS as it looks like the typical dinky landcruiser-esc 90's styled Japanese utility truck that is becoming more and more in fashion today. Few rust patches to cut out and weld, and Ill be giving her a full service, but I am completely infatuated by the no nonsense, rugged, go everywhere looks and mechanical design. Theres a reason the engine and gearbox is transplanted into older Landrovers, theyre awesome. I'd happily recommend anyone who wants a great, inexpensive to run, true utility vehicle to invest, the cliche of "they dont make them like this anymore" is totally apt. It was an absolute gem of functionality and design.
