Economy
Value
With Daihatsu you get a lot for your money, with air con, CD player, electric windows all round, nice alloys, fog lights etc costing under 12k.
Costs
A very economical car, cheap servicing. Don't know about the price of parts but I doubt they will be very expensive. Insurance however is a nightmare, group 10 for a 1.3 litre car! You pay that on average for a 2.0 litre!

On the road
Driving
Quick acceleration, fairly low noise. Gets a bit loud on the motorway but not too bad. Also a very easy car to drive.
Performance
An amazingly quick car, not as fast as the Rally 2 because of the 4WD but still 8.6 seconds to 60. It holds the road fairly well but oversteer hits hard out of nowhere.

Reliability
Never failed on me, sometimes takes a second or two to start on cold days or if it hasn't been driven for a couple of days.

Well that's the worst thing about buy a Daihatsu isn't it? You generally get laughed at! Lucky that with the Rally 2 and 4 you can leave most laughing where they stood in a cloud of smoke.
Comfort
Other than the steering wheel not being adjustable I can't fault it. The seats are very comfortable and provide enough support for going round corners sideways, leg room is also good but fitting adults in the rear can be slightly awkward.

Security
The car has remote central locks and an immobiliser, but no alarm. A cat1 alarm is supplied as an extra for 150 pounds if you want the extra security.
Service
The service was excellent I guess, the only gripe I have was that the car had 14k more miles on it than what I was told!

Engine
No problems at all - Toyota Yaris engine is built like a tank.
Other
There's a severe rattling problem with the interior of the Sirion, if this would bother you then stay away! Most of mine seems to come from the passenger side and stops when someone's in the passenger seat. The dash sometimes rattles but not too much.
