What does this car say about you?

That you like something bold and different.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

All have loved its styling, some think it is a Ferrari. Car loving friends like the sound it made. One of few cars I've owned where meeting a fellow owner would result in a wave or a flash of headlights.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, but a turbo version to keep in a garage and cherish.

What are you likely to buy next?

    Something more practical sadly.

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £1,250

When did you buy the car?

    December 2009

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes, I paid £1250 and got a near unique Italian 4 seat GT, with a distinctive 5 cylinder engine.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Have always liked the style of the Fiat Coupe since its launch in Britain.

    What was the dealer like?

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Lovely, the 2.0 20v 5 cylinder is a great engine with plenty of power. It keeps pace without being worked hard but when you push it it sounds glorious. Handles well and stops well too.

    What's it like to park?

Pretty easy, turning circle and rear visibility probably the biggest gripes.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Yes, but not as bad as the reviews and certain motoring publications made out. They are specialist cars and best service comes from joining the owners club and using a recommened specialist for repairs. Don't go to Fiat dealers.

What's most practical about your car?

Nothing really, its a 2 door Coupe with a large boot you can't use because of a small boot hatch. You buy it because you want one, not as a people carrier.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The interior and dash are some fantastic design from Pininfarina.
