In their own words

Unfussy and practical like a dependable appliance rather than a status symbol. Swallows outdoor gear, DIY stuff, mountain bikes, shopping, greyhounds and passengers. Very easy to get into and out of- no crouching, virtually walk into it. Sliding rear doors great in car parks. Fuel economy is surprising, tho sensitive to brands: I get 53 from Shell and 47 from Tesco for example. 6 speed box enables fairly punchy overtaking, though the lower gears are on the short side. 6th is flexibly down to 35ish. On the negatives, the Rear tailgate can be cumbersome and needs thought on reverse parking if you want access through it, but gives shelter in the rain... The A pillars are wide and need care at junctions by GB; rear seat rolls up but there isn't a "clean floor" option. The flush rear sill is good though. The driving position is excellent and front seats are comfortabke all day. Mine came with simple Aircon that works well and seems to have little mpg impact.

How reliable do you find the car?

1 puncture (nail thro sidewall), 1 rear screen wash hose worn through ( fixed with a 30p connector), 3 intermittent "TPMS unavailable " warnings that lasted up to a week.
