What does this car say about you?

I like a bit of flair and style.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They think it's big inside, and are impressed with it's performance.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No but only because i would want something bigger (Which i have done already with a GTTDI Golf). But i would never turn my nose up at a punto as i have lots of great memories of it and i was very sad to trade it in. If i had my way i would have kept it.

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

I do 300 miles a week up and down the motorway and it soaked it up no problem. Great little motorway cruiser and has plenty of torque and can surpprise bigger cars even pulling from 70 or 80. It's very nippy through the gears and can out smart other bigger cars. More torque then most other cars of the same engine size. Ive driven 106's and saxo's with similar engines and the punto felt much much quicker.

    What's it like to park?

The steering is a little heavy, but isn't too bad considering there is no PAS. A good solution is making sure the tyres are well pumped up as this helps greatly.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Head gasket went but i drove it hard. It went was because of the waterpump failing. Fairly cheap to get fixed at an independant garage. If you are mechanically minded would be easy enough to do it yourself, and would save a packet.

What's most practical about your car?

Boot size, the amount of space inside the car is excellent too. Driving position is good and there is plenty of visibility.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

None really, it is pretty basic.
