this was my second escort, i would buy again, a 1.6 or 1.8 gti.

Did you get a good deal and why?
bit of a bargain really, £75, tax and MOT was only for 1 month but that didnt worry me since i was getting another car at end of month.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
needed something untill i had more money to get a better car.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
1.3 is too slow for the size and weight of an escort, you have to really thrash it to get any kind of performance. my advice is to go for a 1.6 or 1.8.
What's it like to park?
no power steering makes it a bit harder, but once you get it moving its easy enougth.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
2nd gear was very temperemtal, took a few goes to put it into gear. apart from that, not 2 much to worry about.
What's most practical about your car?
its an escort so decent boot size, space inside.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
no gadgets on this one, very sparse,no central locking, power steering etc.
