Ford Fiesta Active (2018 - 2021) boot space, practicality and safety
- Same as Fiesta hatchback for safety
- Good level of standard kit
- Lots more available as options
The Active should prove a very safe car. It’s effectively identical to the regular Ford Fiesta, which scores a maximum five stars in Euro NCAP’s crash tests. That’s why we’ve used its results in this review, and show its crash test video below.
Even base-spec 1 cars get the following standard safety kit:
- Six airbags
- Two Isofix child seat mounting points on rear seats
- Automatic emergency braking
- Tyre pressure monitor
- Tyre repair kit (spare wheel optional)
- Lane-keeping assist
Depending on the trim and optional extras you’ve gone for, the following kit is also available:
- LED headlamps
- Adaptive cruise control
- Blindspot warning
- Traffic sign recognition
- Speed limiter
WATCH: Ford Fiesta hatchback Euro NCAP crash test
The Fiesta Active is available as a five-door only, and sits 18mm higher than the regular Fiesta.
That means there’s a very slight advantage when it comes to visibility, while the extra bits of black plastic around the body could mean a little extra protection for any bumps and scrapes.
In all other respects, interior space is identical to the regular Fiesta.
