What does this car say about you?

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

All very impressed, in fact my mechanic hadn't even seen one before and is absolutely in love with it! My father worked in the motor industry for years and hadn't either, although he feels it is a good solid car (having driven it himself too).

Would you buy this car again and why?

Absolutely and I would recommend it to anyone too! It's fantastic to drive and makes you feel comfortable. I wanted a convertible that didn't always feel like a convertible, I wanted it to feel like a solid car when I had the roof up. and it really does! Despite seeing some negative reviews on-line I have yet to find someone who hasn't complimented my car. There are only 2 negatives; 1. The doors are very big and heavy, this isn't generally an issue, until you park on a slope and have to cling to the door as you leave the car. 2. Both my Peugeot and Skoda had a foot rest beside the clutch and the Ford doesn't, this is a tiny feature, I realise. But this did take a little adjusting to when first driving the car.

What are you likely to buy next?

I intend on running this one for a while, however if I had to choose a new car I would be leaning towards the VW Eos.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £3,750

When did you buy the car?

    April 2015

Did you get a good deal and why?

I actually bought the car from a private seller, thus getting a far better deal than going through a dealer. However knowing nothing about car engine's myself I was lucky enough to have someone who did come with me.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

After driving my 2000 Scoda Fabia for over a year I decided it was time to treat myself to something new. I had been after a convertible for a while and after scouring the internet for reviews i decided on the Focus CC-3 rather that and EOS or Renault Megan.

    What was the dealer like?

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

Its been fantastic to drive, having taken the step from a 1.4 up to a 2.0 its far quicker off the mark (obviously!).

    What's it like to park?

I always reverse park, and the parking sensors have only improved this for me.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Not so far! (Touch wood!!) The car has been an absolute dream, it was due on for a service so I had the whole car checked over at the same time and no problems where found.

What's most practical about your car?

I have seen lots of reviews commenting on the lack of boot space, however I have not found this to be an issue. The boot is far bigger than that of many other convertibles on the market.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Heated seats - I absolutely love these and haven't driven the car without using them! I work in an office all day and suffer with pains in my lower back, the heated seats have really helped ease the drive home, and the adjustable lumbar support is an added bonus to this.
