In their own words

We purchased a new Ford Focus 1.0T EcoBoost in 2018. Within months of the warranty expiring we suffered a catastrophic engine failure to to low oil pressure. We had serviced the car regularly but apparently the oil pump is sensitive to blockage and Ford Customer Services refuse to consider any application for compensation if the service interval is even a 10000 miles over the recommended interval. I would warn any potential buyer to carefully consider buying such a car that appears to have an inherent design fault. How can an engine fail through a missed oil change by a few weeks?
Our car purchased for £25K is now worthless and Ford don't give a damn.
