In their own words

Likes - comes with mods and cons. Has automatic wipers, lights, electrical folding mirrors and the best - heated windscreen! Takes away the pain of scraping the ice off your car on an icy winters day. Dislikes - keeps breaking down, often without any warning. The battery had to be replaced several times. An independent garage still couldn't fix the problem after a new battery was installed. The alternator was apparently at fault. Eventually I took it to a Ford garage who said the it was a battery fault since it wasn't a "Ford" make! Though even they couldn't fix it at first go. It took several attempts before the situation was resolved. By that time I was out of pocket by a large amount. The final replacement battery was a second hand one too. It's obvious from the comments online that Ford Focus of that generation has a problem with the alternators. Whether it's been resolved in the newer models, I can't be sure, Better to go for another more reliable make.
