In their own words

Having owned a mk3 ST3 in tangerine scream, and really liking it and it been trouble free,i decided to give the mk4 ST a test drive.my MK3 I had was a diesel (regrettably),but looked and drove amazing.as soon as I started driving the MK 4 on the country lanes around Doncaster,I was hooked.the demo I was driving had the performance pack fitted(no point buying this car without it,it’s only £250!).drop it into sports mode and the sound/performance comes to life!.these are not a cheap car ,but it has a good list of kit as standard(compared to the MK3,cost a fortune to spec it up).i have mine on pcp,so I went in wanting a race red(free colour),with the performance pack as the only option I wanted.it booked about 30k.after a bit of negotiations I came away with a magnetic grey(£800),and the heads up display(£400,but really not worth it,in my opinion).for the same price as a standard race red one, they had the magnetic one on site and meant they didn’t have to wait 6 to8 weeks to get there sale!my lucky day.been driving the car 8 months now,it’s fantastic,I don’t do a lot of mileage, but this car puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.drive it in normal mode and the petrol gauge dosent drop much at all,put it sports/track mode and give it some beans,it’s a bit thirsty, but that’s all part of the fun.if your after a useable everyday car,but at the press of a button you can really enjoy yourself, then give the MK4 focus ST a go,you won’t regret it.
