Did you get a good deal and why?

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I had owned a MK1 XR2 for several years. Though a great car, age was catching up with it and so it was time for something newer. I wanted a fast, good looking, reliable car which wouldn't cost the earth. All the reviews I had read regarded the Puma very highly; after seeing one in Melina blue I just had to have one!

    What's it like to drive?

I found the Puma to be a very easy car to drive, whether that be in heavy traffic or on the open road. The engine had ample performance for both scenarios and featured a pleasing soundtrack when pushed hard. The gearchange was very smooth and precise; combined with the light steering it was very easy to park.

    What's it like to park?

    Difficult rear quarter visibility.

Have you had any problems with the car?

I owned the car for two and a half years. In that time it didn't let me down once, travelling almost 40,000 miles. Brake parts, tyres and servicing were my only costs. Oh of course - and plenty of wax!

What's most practical about your car?

In my opinion the Puma has a wealth of comfort and safety features for it's age. The heated front windscreen and traction control are particular examples of this. The Puma can seat four adults and also had a good sized boot. The car is also reasonably cheap to run and maintain.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Traction control, heated front windscreen and heated mirrors.
