Ford Sierra Estate
  • Economy

    Value

    5 out of 5 5.0

Nothing short of excellent. You will get the top trim level for a similar price to a base level Fiesta of the same age.

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Most components are dirt cheap. You will, however, get stung on some things (injection fuel lines for instance).

  • On the road

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

So long as the steering components aren't worn, you feel very much in control. Gave it 4 because of what happens on ice.

    Performance

    5 out of 5 5.0

Nothing short of great. The DOHC (86x86) is a very comfortable engine to drive with. It pulls well from low revs (no need to thrash the poor old girl).

  • Living with it

    Image

    1 out of 5 1.0

I've put 1 because it's what most people would think. I just happen to think it's one of the best looking cars ever (in a modest way).

    Comfort

    3 out of 5 3.0

The interior of the car is extremely comfortable, however, it's let down by the bumpy ride when not on A-roads/motorways.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    1 out of 5 1.0

Ha! Put it this way, you don't have to worry if you lock your keys in. Having said that, there is an alarm on this model if the doors opened from the inside (not that it works in the winter).

    Service

    2 out of 5 2.0

My local dealer actually gets confused as to what parts I want.
