Other Honda Accord (2008 - 2015) models:

  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

This car says that I am an individual who does not follow the pack. It also says that I look for realibilaity in a car.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Just "nice" - nothing special, really.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yeah, it's my second Accord now.

What are you likely to buy next?

Dunno yet - probably another Honda.

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchise

Did you buy this car new?

    Yes

    What price did you pay?

    £23,000

When did you buy the car?

    October 2009

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes - I got a good trade-in on my previous car.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

    1. Reliability - I was the owner of the previous model (a 2004) Accord, a manual Type S. This previous-model had done 165000km, relatively trouble-free. (At least more trouble-free than my previous car, a 1.8T Passat). 2. My Honda dealer gave me an excellent trade-in on the new Accord. Also, the Accord compared favourably in price with the entry-level Audis, Mercs and Beemers that have huge option lists. I liked the standard features that came with the car. 3. I liked the external look of the car.

    What was the dealer like?

    OK, friendly, nothing special, really.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Smooth. I use it on the open road a lot - it is very comfortable, with smooth auto gear changes. The steering does feel a bit "Light" however.

    What's it like to park?

This car is wider than the previous model - however, no problems with parking.
