  • Summary

What does this car say about you?

When I first bought a Honda Accord, a friend said, "If you're not image conscious, this is the best car you can buy for the money". I agree. Those who want to look cool should stick to an Audi or a BMW. But if you want a very good, reliable, comfortable car, then go for the Accord!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Everyone who has been a passenger seems to be surprised by it's comfort.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Absolutely! This is my second Accord and I would happily own a third!

What are you likely to buy next?

If not another Accord, then probably another Honda.

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

Motorway driving is extremely comfortable. The car comes with cruise control and while in CC, the lay-out of the centre console makes it easy to rest your left leg against it, while on the foot-plate next to clutch, meaning your feet are in a good position if needed for an emergency stop. The car drives straight, with no pull to either side In town, despite being a big car, with a diesel engine, this is a surprisingly easy car to drive. The engine is responsive enough, as is the steering and the gears are very easy (Can change gear with just a little finger).

    What's it like to park?

For such a big car, it is surprisingly easy. At first, it takes time, because of the size, but the turning circle is reasonable and, if backing in, there is plenty of all around viewing, with large rear windows and electrically adjustable wing mirrors.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Some small issues, but nothing I wouldn't expect from a car with 230,000 miles on the clock. The most major was the need for a new radiator. The clutch is likely to need changing soon.

What's most practical about your car?

The car is very spacious and comfortable to drive. Both front seats have electric adjustments, which include moving the seat back and forward, tilting forward and backwards and adjusting the back. This, along with reach/rake adjustable steering wheel will mean almost anyone will be able to find a comfortable position.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    Heated leather seats.
