In their own words

With a small engine and relatively large chassis, the Civic delivers reasonable fuel economy, averaging about 42 mpg, but on motorway runs this goes up to nearly 50. I really like the brake hold which allows me to leave it in drive at roundabouts and junctions with my foot off the brake. The adaptive cruise control works really well and as I do mainly motorway commutes, this is a great asset. The ride is very firm. but that is probably down to the low profile tyres, If I had one niggle, it would be that the car is under-powered and therefore the turbo is constantly kicking in, so the power delivery is not smooth. If I was buying another petrol powered Civic, I'd go for the larger 1.5 litre engine. The automatic box works well and over the last 14 months since I've owned the car, I've had no issues. Virtually all controls can be accessed from buttons on the steering wheel, which is really useful. With Honda's reliability and a great local dealer, it would be hard for me to change manufacturer in the future.
