Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

The Honda Civic Hybrid Saloon (06-10) 1.4 i-Dsi ES IMA 4d CVT Auto could be a really good car if only the problems above could be dispensed with: The failure to be able to start the car routinely is the most annoying fault. Just think, the ability to start my car is absolutely necessary if the car is to have any use at all. Not having the ability to start the car as and when it is needed cetainly raises the blood pressure and lowers the quality of conversation that goes on inside the car. The car is quite pleasant to look at both while parked and while being driven (I have always felt that Honda vehicles are good on the eye, especially while being driven).

How reliable do you find the car?

The battery takes the brunt of the car's problems. It loses power quickly if the car is not driven over a few days or only taken on short trips. This makes the car an embarrassment. I have to rely on my neighbours goodwill if i want to go anywhere since I have to ask them to jump start the car. The only good thing I have to offer is that the battery is in working order once the engine is running. I try to minimise my stop once I have achieved my destination and don't want to have to hang around waiting for some kind soul to offer me a jump start.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

When everything is working properly the car is pleasant to be in and to drive. I made a non-stop trip from Torquay to London earlier this year and everything went well. At the end of the journey I was quite relaxed and not stiff at all. As things are I would not recommend the car. If the car was investigated and the problems were sorted out I would not have any plans for not keeping it. On the days when my domestic refuse is collected I wish someone would create a ramp so that the car could be driven into the back of the rubbish collection truck.
