  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

The car is fun and exciting, but also mature and grown up. It's not a boy racers car, but something with a bit of style, and practicality. But when the road opens up you can really put the car through its paces and enjoy the winding bends. You'll need deep pockets though as using the Vtec really does guzzle the fuel!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My friends are very jealous and want this car. My mother borrowed it for a day and came back with a smile on her face... Which is a rare thing!

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, it's exciting and fun to drive and puts a smile on my face.

What are you likely to buy next?

Nothing for a while but potentially a Subaru BRZ.

Did you get a good deal and why?

I don't think the deal was anything exceptional, but the car was in exceptional condition and a desired car with the GT spec.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

The main reason I bought this car was for the performance and fun, the handling and the acceleration... And it didn't fail to deliver!

    What was the dealer like?

The dealer was very helpful and due to my excitement and being impatient, they received several calls from me and turned the car around quickly so I could take it home.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Gear shifts are short and easy, making going up through the gears a delight. The accelerator is immediate and the power is readily available, never failing to pick up on the overtaking opportunities. The noise as you enter the VTEC band is simply superb. Handling wise, the car is very responsive and you can feel exactly what the wheels are doing. However, as the suspension is set up for performance, it is very firm and can be uncomfortable on longer journeys. In the wet, the car will understeer a little but the on traction control soon takes care of that.

    What's it like to park?

The turning circle is not great in the car but the mirrors give you good visibility around which is handy when parking.

  • Living with it

    4 out of 5 4.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Not a single thing has gone wrong with the car, and it has continued to make me smile. Every time I press the big red start button, I feel like I'm captain in a fighter jet!

What's most practical about your car?

It has fantastic boot space and the seats fold down completely flat, making it a practical space for carrying larger items. Despite being a hatchback the leg room is fantastic, even in the rear.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The revometer and speedo appear holographic in a bright red which is a delight to watch as you accelerate.
