Typical HONDA build - very solid. Doors give a solid 'thunk' as they close. Huge interior space with very versatile rear seating to maximise on space. Lots of headroom and nice high driving position give a nice airy feel. The Engine is just about powerful enough and the extra torque provided by the VTEC system is really noticeable. Expect fuel consumption to be a bit on the high side but its a fairly old engine now and the CRV isn't exactly aerodynamic. Great car if you want a cheap, reliable load lugger but beware the fuel consumption and high road tax.
How reliable do you find the car?
Purchased without a proper service record (always a gamble). Had various minor problems that had been ignored by previous owners. Sorted those out fairly quickly and now as reliable as expected. Air conditioning stopped working but this is a common problem with high mileage models - and as I am in UK - not really worth fixing..Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
