In their own words

Bought this car and knew after reading the reviews that it wouldn't be very fast or very economical. Sadly I was right. It was however very nice to drive with reasonable handling and very comfortable It did surprise how economical it could be if you used the Eco button and pressed the accelerator like an elderly mouse. Sometimes I saw slightly above 40mpg on a long run doing a steady 60mph. However using kickdown on the autobox saw that drop massively. Performance again did surprise me at times. It's not a sports car and has no intentions to be one but if you kicked down and rev'd the engine really high then it would feel quite nippy. See the paragraph above though as this did massively damage the economy. Please ignore the other reviewer who says S mode for the gearbox is for "sequential". It's not, it's for "sport" but does work sequentially if you use the paddles in conjunction with the S mode. Couple of minor problems I encountered were the the auto made a noise like a clutch slip changing from 1st to 2nd if you were driving very gently. Didn't happen with harder acceleration. A dealer looked at the car and although acknowledged a noise said it wasn't a fault. The other problem I had was with the satnav which constantly lost position of where the car was on the map. Very annoying and again the dealer's response was less than brilliant by saying they'd have to send the unit off for repair which would leave a massive hole in the dash for about 4-6 weeks.
