What does this car say about you?

The Prelude is very much an acquired taste. Some love it. Equal amounts seem to hate it. I have no idea what this car says about me.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They all seem to like it. Less so, when I seat them in the back.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes. I plan to buy a manual 2.2L Vtec version next year. Much better motor in that one.

What are you likely to buy next?

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £2,500

When did you buy the car?

    September 2008

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yeah, I think so. The guy had already bought a Vtec Prelude and wanted rid of his non-vtec one (the one I bought). he lowered the price considerably.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Always wanted one of these shaped Preludes. This one came up at the right price, with very low mileage, in good nick and with nice wheels, so I went for it.

    What was the dealer like?

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

Very nice to drive. Feels tidy enough in corners. I've done some very long journeys in it and find it very comfortable and even fun to drive. This is not a fast car though. Acceleration is acceptable but you really need the Vtec version.

    What's it like to park?

Tricky enough at first, but you get used to it. Very long car.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing. Apart from local gougers breaking windows and locks trying to rob it, it's pretty much been usual Honda fayre.

What's most practical about your car?

The Prelude is not a very practical car. Tall friends grimmace when they are presented with the back "seats". Having said that, there is a very useable boot. if you need more practicality, a hatchback will suit better.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

A/C is great and all the elctrics are handy. The higher spec Preludes have leather and wood options but as mine is a fairly base model, no such luck there. The interior is in keeping with the typical mid 90s, Japanese car style. Drab to look at, but very ergonomic. Everything is where it should be.
