What does this car say about you?

    Skinflint with no image.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

He's done it again and found a car to match a big brand for no money.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes because it does everything I need - cavernous boot for shopping/transporting. Plenty of leg and headroom for passengers - even a rear arm rest.

What are you likely to buy next?

Sadly the car was written off by a lorry on the A12 however it was so well built I was unharmed. Since then I have had three cars - a Merc C180, Skoda Fabia and Proton Impian - reviews to follow.

    £4,500

When did you buy the car?

    November 2006

Did you get a good deal and why?

The car was nearly £11K new but three years later only £4500 with 22K on the clock plus I got a £500 trade in for my old Hyundai Accent.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I wanted a car that could handle motorway speeds and mileage easily. The Hyundai Elantra fitted the bill and having owned two Hyundai's previously (a 1988 Pony 1.3 and a 1999 Accent 1.3) I had every confidence in the brand.

    What was the dealer like?

The dealer (Ickleford Motors) was great.

    What's it like to drive?

Great - pulls like a train, drives all day long at motorway speeds without so much as a hiccup. Rubbish in the wet - no grip no matter what tires and therefore lethal in the snow.

Easy - nicely balanced power steering with large mirrors ensure you hit your marks every time.
