In their own words

My partner bought her Hyundai IX20 1.6 Style Auto last ulyear in October. Haven't had any serious problems with it since we have owned it. We've had a couple things done on the Hyundai Comprehensive Warranty. Rear Shockers were leaking and were replaced. If you go to the main stealers be prepared to moderately expensive servicing costs. They quoted me over £400 for a full service and cambelt change...... At 19k miles?? So they amended their price and said that the car also needed a software update. Tried to charge me £200 for this. They said it's mandatory and that the car should have had the update in 2015. I said that they sold us the car in 2016 so they sold us a car that should have had this update (whatever it's for!) and that we should have to pay. We didn't and apparently it was done. (can't tell any difference.). As for the car itself, it's very good, not perfect but good. Has a lot of room inside. Room for 5 adults. The 1.6 petrol engine is very capable with 123bhp on tap. Only issue I find is that the auto box totally robs it of any power. If it had a manual then it would be better but my other half can only drive an auto. Comes well equipped. Aircon, 4 electric windows, electric heated mirrors, Bluetooth for music streaming. Parking is a breeze. Massive door mirrors and good visibility all round is great and with parking sensors it's very good. Front end takes a bit of getting used to as you cannot see where the corners are. But you get used to it. The seats are nice and comfortable, drove 5 hours to south Wales a while back and didn't get a numb bum. Like I have said before my only gripe is that the auto box doesn't have a 6th gear. At 70mph its revving around 3k and is a bit noisy on a long trip but if you are after a long distance car look elsewhere. So to sum up, I like this car a lot. I would recommend it to someone who needs a capable car for town driving and practicality.
