Utilty over style. For its price- better ride, reliablity, fuel consumption and running costs( we also tried Jeep which was as comfortable as a tractor! and a Honda which felt puny).

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

That it looks like a comfortable car.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Possibly, the garage has been fantastic and it was comfortable and reliable.

What are you likely to buy next?

If I Can- An oldish jag again or Range Rover.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £8,000

When did you buy the car?

    February 2007

Did you get a good deal and why?

Car advertised online, where we saw it. When called to enquire were offered better price than advertised. we were told the car has been " on the market" for a while. We were prepared to travel a little way for a better price car.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Good owner & professional reviews, good price. When test-driven, very comfortable and a standard of fittings internally-higher than cars of similar specifications.

    What was the dealer like?

Efficient, friendly enough, no pressure at all. Good deal, good car would sell itself.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

After a jag- a tough act to follow but surprisingly smooth(inc over rough rds, bumps and motorway), easy to steer. 2.7 engine good but dont expect amazing....accelaration. Automatic so it changes gears correctly.

    What's it like to park?

Good as long as you know what you are doing. It would enable getting into a space large enough for the car plus, say an additional foot on each side.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Only small and mainly cosmetic things as the car ages- things we can choose to leave unrepaired/replaced. Otherwise, trouble-free, helped by excellent franchise dealer garage which does not try, ever, to sell you a repair if not necessary( in stark contrast to my previous car- a jag).

What's most practical about your car?

Size. Not too big but large enough for family needs.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

All Standard but good. I HATE it locking itself. Once, the children and I were locked out of it with phones, keys money etc- all inside and temp about 0c!
