The seat-height position in the Infiniti EX is about the same as in a Nissan Qashqai, so it offers a good view of the road ahead, without towering over other cars. The gentle curves of the dashboard and the interior materials are typical of luxury cars, while the stylised analogue clock in a prominent position appears to be the start of an Infiniti trademark.

Rear visibility isn’t great when parking, but the EX is available with rear-view camera parking aids, and the useful Around View Monitor.

Infiniti EX comfort is excellent because of the supportive seating, but it is fair to say that it is a four-seater rather than five. There is keyless entry on all versions and despite the sloping roofline, headroom is acceptable in the rear for anyone up to about six-feet tall plus the front seats are contoured at the back to allow more legroom for rear passengers.

Engine noise and wind noise are unobtrusive but there is some road noise intrusion, due in part to the 18-inch alloy wheels.
