What does this car say about you?

Non-conformist with good taste.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Smart and graceful. One of my regular (and taller) passengers tens to fall asleep after about 30 minutes in the back- So it's comfortable.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes. For every reason listed above.

In the absence of an XE estate, an XF.

Satisfactory rather than special.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Always wanted a Jaguar of the 'Proper' shape. Practicality, comfort and economy sealed the deal.

What was the dealer like?

Very professional and convincingly helpful. Only went to view and came out having signed.

What's it like to drive?

Almost all things to all men: Enjoyable to flick through A and B road bends when in sporty mood. Relaxed and smooth for trundling, or cantering up motorways. Clutch can get a bit heavy in town stop/start, but once free it's as comfortable as your favourite jumper and stays that way for hours on end.

What's it like to park?

Never had a problem.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Has an appetite for clutches, two in 75,000 miles, that have required flywheels- £1,200 at Jaguar, £800 at Halfords. Some amelioration for where it lived, daily manoeuvring on a steep hill does not help. OEM brake discs last and work better than Jaguar's own.

What's most practical about your car?

Estate boot space and height in the back for 6foot passengers.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Fitting an in line performance chip to the injection line improved economy by about 12% overall.
