Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

It is as practical as any of the six 4 door saloon I have owned before. It is as comfortable as the previous XF I owned, but it is infinitely more fun. Mine has the performance pack so it has extra kick over the standard XFR and comes with the black gloss alloys. The image on this web page is of the old model, the series 2 XFs had a much better looking front and the XFR looks mean. Whether at home or in a car park, I am always getting admiring comments, from young and old alike. It is a lively car in the wet and the traction systems work hard if you boot it in wet conditions, but in the dry it is a fun car to push, especially if you sharpen up the throttle and take off the first layer of traction control. The gear change is quick on the paddles and the brakes will stop you on a penny. It is a thirsty car when driven hard, it is after all a 5.0Ltr engine, but on every day driving I get 28 MPG and on long cruises I get 32 MPG whilst keeping up with the outside lane drivers. I had planned to keep this for a couple of years and then trade it in for something more sensible, but I don't know if I can now, it is very addictive.

How reliable do you find the car?

I had an issue with the central locking making a noise on a rear door, but Lancaster Jaguar made an appointment for it to come in and fed me coffee and biscuits whilst I waited.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

I didn't go into buy the XFR, but when the salesman offer me a test drive I thought "what the heck." After that I was hooked. This is a fun car to drive and teh whine of the superchargers on start up never gets old. This car puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. It has a kick that you won't find unless you buy an M5 or E series AMG, but it is infinitely more comfortable and feels more luxurious.
