In their own words

Bought it used, needed a new front prop shaft and I got the CAM belt done straight away as there was no history. All in all £1300 for the car and 500 on repairs. I was surprised at the insurance too, very reasonable when I put it on my multicar. I let my girlfriend use the car day to day, I like to take it off roading on green lanes, mostly around the north of England and the Jeep really held up to what I threw at her. Get Some off road AT tyres and transmission guard and you're good to go! On the road it's heavy and slow, but what do you expect? Got between 23-25 mpg (being gentle) abit lower if your not economical. The gearbox is clunky and the ride is wobbly. Once she's up to speed I've found it to be reasonably responsive cornering. Also there is no space for my clutch foot when I'm not using it, makes it uncomfortable and the steering wheel only has height adjustment. Believe me though I've driven way worse 4x4's, Shogun for example is way worse on the road. Off road - what a beast! I mean it's no wrangler or defender, but it's remarkably capable. Most of my friends have Suzuki jimmy's and vitara's. There good but the Jeep creaps up difficult terrain in 4Lo 1 or 2nd gear easily. Had it up to the headlights wading water without a snorkel, no issues. Other than that off-road rules apply, be careful because it's American the differential is on the divers side so watch that on rocks. Overall - poor on the road, surprising off-road capabilities and a good looking vehicle.
