In their own words

The petrol/electric hyprid makes perfect sense today. The engine and braking charges the battery, so no need to worry about plug-in charging. I get over 50mpg on average. It is economical both around town, where it uses electric drive a good deal and also on long journeys, too. Quiet and relaxed on motorways. The adverse comments on the suspension and CVT auto gearbox are nonsense. Although a little on the firm side, it is a very comfortable ride and the engine is quiet, even when it revs up. The fit and finish are excellent. Leather seats are very comfortable. The controls are very easy to use and the information system on the big screen is clear and logical. The sat nav is good, once you get used to the menu system and I have the road map showing all the time. Good quality radio, bluetooth etc. The boot is a little small but fine with the back sets down. However, there is further space under the removable boot floor AND it has a proper spare wheel! A real bonus these days when few cars offer this important item. It is a good looking car with the distinctive Lexus front grill. I would strongly recommend this car to any potential Golf or similar buyer.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

Easy to drive - quiet, comfortable, economical and quite nippy.
