Value
Not particularly expensive for the thrills it provides. Holds value well too.
Costs
No more expensive to run than a regular hatchback, providing you use a specialist rather than a main dealer. Excellent fuel economy, even when driven hard.

This car is regarded as the benchmark as a purist's driving machine, enough said!
Performance
0-60 in 5 seconds, 0-100 in 13 seconds. There is quicker out there, but not for less money... unless it's a motorbike.

Have owned it for 18 months and the only problem was a flat battery in the middle of winter.

Not as flashy as a Boxster, but a much better drive anyway!
Comfort
The chassis is ""communicative"". If you want comfort, buy a TT.

Fitted with an immobiliser and a tracker, you won't lose it. However, the canvas roof is not going to keep a thief out.
