Mazda 3 Fastback (2013 - 2018) 2.2d Sport Nav 4d Owner Review

This has been my fifth Mazda, and it's been the best so far. I've owned 2 No. 323s (both petrol) and 2 No. 3s (both diesel) previously. My current model has the 2.2 litre Diesel engine and it's as sweet as a nut. Handling especially through corners is superb, disc brakes all round are excellent. Economy figures have always been 60 plus mpg. Road tax costs £20 a year. Service intervals are 12500 miles, and the service parts reasonably priced (even from the main dealer) that is with the exception of engine oil at £70 plus for a quantity sufficient for an oil change. Unless the Mazda brand is used (they say) the warranty becomes invalid. There are equivalents available at a third of the price. Mazda vehicles are the best kept secret in the Motor Trade!
