Other Mazda 6 (2002 - 2007) models:

  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

We changed from the usual van with widows (Zafira) sect to something a lot more handsome and nearly as practical.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They all love the looks and the colour.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes - it's Japanese so you get more metal and gadgets for your money than say a Vectra or Mondeo. Also the Mazda 6 is a far rarer sight on the roads than it main competitors.

What are you likely to buy next?

Not sure - but when Mazda update the 6 that got to be worth considering.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchise

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £0

When did you buy the car?

    January 2007

Did you get a good deal and why?

Very good both on my PX and on the price of the Mazda.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Liked the looks of the Mazda when compared to the usual suspects such as the Vectra, Mondeo, Avensis, Accord etc.

    What was the dealer like?

Very helpful. I did contact my local dealer in Chelmsford but they would only sell me what they had in stock - which was limited to Carbon Grey or Silver Contraill. I wanted the Pacific Blue Mica!

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Plenty of "Zoom Zoom" from the 2.0 litre engine. As it's six speed cruises well on the open road.

    What's it like to park?

A bugger! Very limited visibility through the rear of the car. I'm getting better as time goes by.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

So far so good - just hope it stays that way.

What's most practical about your car?

Huge boot, comfy snug seats, excellent stereo and electric window all round.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Plenty of buttons to push on the dash to access the computer. Also like the stereo controls and cruise control buttons mounted on the sterring wheel.
