Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

I have owned a Gen 2 Mazda 6 Hatchback for a couple years now and I have to say its been a brilliant car.
I chose smart when I bought the car and went for the 2L petrol as I wouldn't be doing the high motorway miles and the engine has been smooth and reliable from start to finish. I don't have to worry about whether the car will start in the morning and I don't have to worry about if the car will reach its destination, because it just will.
I would recommend getting the 2L petrol as they just are bomb proof as long as you keep up with regular servicing this car will just keep going.
Being a Naturally Aspirated engine there is a lot less to go wrong as you don't have to worry about boost leaks or faulty Turbo's. The engine is also chain driven so you don't have to worry about any timing belts!
I average about 33 MPG and that's driving around the countryside and some motorway mileage once in a while. Yes its not great but I've saved in the long run as I haven't had to spend a lot of money in the garage. Just servicing and MOT.
I wouldn't recommend the diesel engine if your looking at getting a Mazda 6 as they have a lot of problems. Petrol all the way.
The car from factory produces around 155BHP. Its enough to overtake the slow people and to get you up to speed in a sensible time. Its by no means a rocket but id say its a smooth transition from 0-60.
The Gearbox is manual in mine and its very smooth. When you select gears it actually feels like its in gear, you get a nice little feedback when you have put it in gear.

Having bought the Takuya spec its not quite the highest but its got lots of features like cruise control, heated seats and automatic headlights. (not the auto dipped beam). Most of these functions are on the steering wheel.
The interior of the Car is a comfortable place to be. Half leather seats, Leather steering wheel, Leather armrest, all black interior with some night mood lighting. I have had many compliments on how nice the car is inside and some of my close friends have offered to buy it off me.
The car inside is very spacious, lots of leg room for people sitting in the back and headroom. I've found its been great for my house move and collecting furniture for the house, this is because you can fold down the rear seats and have a nice flat surface to put stuff, things and all sorts on. I have transported a whole sofa bed in this car! (I did have to remove the legs from the sofa...)
The standard speakers produce a great sound. I don't have the Bose ones in mine like some other models but they still sound great and I love my music.

This car is a great machine but it wouldn't be a car if you had to replace some bits on it to get it functioning properly.
I have changed all the calipers on the car as I kept getting squeaking noises from the brakes. One of the rear calipers had seized and also one of the front ones went a week later so it had to be sorted. I suspected this when I bought the car as it had been sat at the showroom from some time with the handbrake on and the discs had rusted a lot. This is fairly normal on any car really if it has been sat for awhile.
All the calipers I changed myself as it is a relatively easy job and also replaced all the discs and pads whilst I was there. all in all it only cost me £180 for the parts (Ebay Parts) and the labor was free.

All in all id say Mazda have produced a great car here which I hope to keep for a very long time, it does everything you would want a car to do and will keep you safe and also your wallet safe too.
