What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Girls absolutely loved this car, the guys all thought it was gay. Most people enjoyed "having a go" and all assumed it was worth a lot more than it really was.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, if I were to have a fun 2nd car to hoon around on the weekends then I would consider buying an MX-5.
What are you likely to buy next?
I bought a BMW 328i (crap) and then a Golf GT TDI (Rather good).

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Superb, one of the most exciting cheap cars to drive. They aren't particularly fast, especially in a straight line but they love to be driven hard and handle like a go-kart. They're quite forgiving with a set of decent tyres and are quite comfortable even over long journeys, you're ear's may ring a little if you're on the motorway with the roof down though.
What's it like to park?
Not great, the turning circle is poor and if you're shorter than 6ft then seeing the end of the car is a difficult task.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Clutch started to slip at 60,000 miles but otherwise was pretty solid. A little rust on the sills came through just before sale. Fairly cheap to repair and very cheap to run.
What's most practical about your car?
MX-5 and practical don't really go together, this is a 2 seat sports car that can just about carry a handbag in the boot, I suppose the low cost and cheap insurance make up for that.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Soft top roof.
