Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate (2000 - 2007) C270 CDI Avantgarde 5d Owner Review

Bought it as a cheap runaround after selling my Fiat 500 diesel that was always needing repairs. intended to keep it a month or so, love it so much its still here and just had MOT. Heated leather seats are incredible and elctrically adjusted, massive passenger legroom front if you have the seat full back. Handling is impressive, put a double din Sony unit in and it shows the quality of the multiple speakers. gerabox is like nothing i have driven, full auto or tip the lever up and down the box, so smooth. cruise is perfect on journeys. Lights are a bit dim i have to say, that is the only negative apart from bonnet, arches and tailgate rust, but hey you get a cheap car so ! Buy one, you will get it cheap if you shop around, and its value for money. You will love it. So so fast, and faster and better drive than my SLK. Totally converted to this C class, having had the previous model, it was fine, nothing is a patch on a (my) 190e or 230e or 420SE but as modern mercs go its surprisingly brilliant and will not break the bank, love this car now, will run it until it dies.
