Value
Purchased at the end of a miserable winter month (Nov 2000), so better discount achieved.
Costs
Maintenance is not cheap but considered as a percentage of the car's value, cost is reasonable.

Driving
Very comfortable driving position. A pleasure to be behind the wheel.
Performance
Not a sports car, but can be very nippy overtaking (superb kickdown) and at junctions. One has to be careful because people don"t expect a Merc saloon to be THAT nippy.

Obviously not an S-Class or SL, but rather nice none the less.
Comfort
Sports suspension not to everyone"s taste (firmer ride) but I like to think that it helps me avoid the larger holes in the road and to preserve the car.

I"m not qualified to comment properly on this. Electronic key and remote central locking are OK.
