In their own words

I love my Mercedes E220 Cabriolet . I was specifically looking for a Cabriolet when I bought it although I was looking at the BMW 4 series as that had a hard top. However when the Merc became available and I road tested it, it ticked all the boxes. I felt at ease, at one with it immediately. It looks great and I have to say I prefer the style of it over the later model, which somehow looks smaller and seem to have less road presence. Because of the AMG styling it gives it a more sporty feel but it also has quite a hard ride. I have no real gripes although the boot is very small, but that is generally the case with open top cars. The model I have is a two litre diesel which is comparable to the last Golf three Passats and Peugeot 406 I had. The performance is reasonable and is certainly enhanced with the Sports mode. If I were to buy another E class Cabriolet I would most likely go for a larger engine size for a bit more oomph. It is the first car that I have had which may be classed as a higher end brand, unless you count an Audi 80. Other than that it has mainly been VW Ford and Vauxhalls before. They have all been good cars, but none of them made me feel like the Merc does
