In their own words

Update My first review looked at the car, this review focusses on the service from Marshall's Mercedes in Bolton. No service would be better than our service, should be their motto. I attended their garage for all three services two recalls, six times to have my summer/winter wheels swapped and four or five minor warranty issues. You cant talk to someone about an issue, maybe the windows would not stay closed, maybe a warning light or stop-start issue. The point is not the car or any issues with it as the car has been great all in all. However, the service was the worst I have ever had and I'm not overly young, no thanks to Marshall's. They got it correct on two occasions. Booking would normally go something like this. Needing a courtesy car would normally mean you have to book further in advance as they don't have enough car on the fleet, fine. I turn up they have no record of a car being booked. I would arrange to wait, they would say the work will take one to one and a half hours, on the day I would be asked to call back lat afternoon. The so-called up to one and a half hours would be three and only because I would insist they don't wash and vac the car as I have the rest of my life to live and I get older every time I visit them. You cant ask a technician a simple question you must book your car in and they will look at the issue, great another half day of being at Marshall's. At the end, when I would go online and resolve the issue myself or just live with the issue until it fixed its self, should I really need to I would book. visiting Marshalls was less appealing than having a root canal, I did it and I enjoyed the company and efficiency of my dental surgery. I really could go on with a book worth of specific letdowns by Marshalls but all bad things come to an end and I am relieved to say that in March 2020 I handed the car back and it was a great experience and relief. I give Marshall's of Bolton One Star.
