Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

I've owned it since November '19 ( 5 months now) and done nearly 4k. Motorway driving is effortless, no matter what the weather. Local short journeys are particularly thirsty as to be expected with a 5lV8 - when my wife, a non-driver, asked what the mpg was like I told her sometimes it even gets into double figures like it was a good thing and she seemed satisfied . (15-23) This is a full on luxury vehicle that originally cost in excess of £70k. I got it for £5k and there is not a single thing wrong with it or lacking. I could not be happier. I inevitably compare it with other vehicles on carparks as I'm returning to the car and reckon it's the best vehicle there, which is nice. It handles beautifully, pulls like a train, produces miles of smiles and ain't a dirty diesel (E4). This particular reg (05/55) is the cheaper tax band ( currently £325). I wanted the chance to experience a fun 5lV8 before we're all forced into electric self-drive Jonny Cabs and have not been disappointed with my choice. If you're considering getting one do all the usual FSH/mot history check etc and see if you can get it with 12 months MOT and warranty. As long as you accept low mpg figures as a fact of life you shouldn't be disappointed. Affordable luxury. (The difference between £5k and a new Kia/Hyundai/Seat blandmobile will more than cover the extra cost of the petrol!)

How reliable do you find the car?

Took a punt buying it from used garage with minimal service history but good price. Took into local Merc indy garage when I got it home for health check. Could've been a nail but luckily all minor probs sorted for less than £500. When "undersealing required" is top of the to-do list you know it can't be too bad!!

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

Nervous about cars this age with all the toys and accompanying fine wire looms but quality shines through on the ML500 and everything works as it should effortlessly.
